Appointed to two academic societies

Murakami from our laboratory has been appointed as a committee member of the following two academic societies.

・Japanese Society of Psychiatry and Neurology: Anti-Stigma Committee https://www.jspn.or.jp/ ( Japanese Medical Association Subcommittee )

・Japanese association for Suicide Prevention: Media Expression Support Committee https://jasp.gr.jp/ ( Academic research organization affiliated with the Science Council of Japan)

Both academic societies are deeply connected to Murakami's research field, and I feel that being involved in their management is of great significance. I am humbled by this appointment.

Each committee has a theme that they would like to personally tackle.

We will do our best to address the issues of mental health and suicide prevention in a sincere manner.
