I have been appointed a Fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH), the UK's leading organisation in the field of public health.
I have been elected a Fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health (FRSPH).
The Society is a Royal Society established under a Royal Charter, and its current name was achieved through the merger of its predecessors, the Royal Institute of Public Health and the Royal Society of Health. Its history dates back to 1856, and it is an organization with a long history that has supported the establishment and development of modern public health.
The UK is also a country with a deep connection to public health. The cholera epidemic, the Broad Street pumps, and John Snow's epidemiological investigation are iconic events that always appear in public health textbooks, and I myself remember learning about them as a student. I am once again humbled to have been recognized as a Fellow by the Royal Society, which is an extension of this history.
We will treasure this honor and continue to work to be of some use to society from an interdisciplinary perspective, including suicide prevention, forensic medicine, psychiatry, public health, and crisis management.
